Keeping you safe
As members of Rye Bay Fitness, it is important that we all do our bit to keep each other safe. We have revised our cleaning procedures and put in place a plan to create the safest gym environment possible. Here’s what we’re doing:
Regular deep cleaning
The gym will be regularly deep cleaned by a professional cleaning company. This will ensure that every surface and piece of kit is thoroughly disinfected, so you can train with confidence.
Hand sanitising
It is important that you use the hand sanitisers provided to disinfect your hands before, during and after training. You will find hand sanitiser at the many hygiene stations located throughout the gym.
Ventilation
We will be leaving the large loading bay doors open for most of the day. This will provide the gym with a constant source of air flow. At times when the loading bay doors cannot be opened, we urge members to open all windows and the large main entry door which will provide the gym with sufficient ventilation.
Keeping a safe distance
The gym has been rearranged for you to exercise at a safe distance from others. You will also notice white markers on the floor throughout the free-weight area to guide you. RBF is a very spacious gym making social distancing easy to accomplish. By limiting the number of people who can exercise at any one time, it will never get too busy.
Anti-viral disinfectant spray
All members must disinfect the equipment before and after use with the anti-viral spray and paper towels provided.
Eliminate contact during classes
Socially distant classes will take place throughout the week. No members are to engage in contact and all classes have been redesigned to make this possible.
Limited number of members at any one time
Only 10 members will be permitted to exercise at any one time. This will make it easier for you to keep a safe distance from others.
Regular cleaning throughout the day
Regular cleaning will take place throughout the day to ensure that your workout environment is clean and safe. We use high grade anti-viral disinfectant on all equipment so you can exercise with confidence.
Hygiene stations
For added peace of mind, we’ve installed hygiene stations throughout the gym. This will make it easy for you to disinfect your hands and the equipment before and after use. They are located in every section of the building — you will never be more than a few feet away.
Follow government advice
We will be keeping track of all government advice and recommendations. Despite there being a low number of cases within our region, it is important that we remain vigilant and take the necessary measures and precautions as and when it is recommended.
